When having a chat with the affable North Queensland local you start to get a good understanding of what drives this young man. A beautiful young family that he wants to give the best in life, a proud young aboriginal that wants to help his community in every way possible. “Back at home me and a mate started an organization called (Streets) we got some Government funding to help set up a gym on the mission so kids could come and train for free. I remember when I started I couldn’t afford to train as I didn’t has the $2 a day, and if I did I spent it on food, I couldn’t afford luxuries like training every day. I know how important boxing has been in my life, its kept me on the straight and narrow its given me confidence allowed me to meet many great people, I love what it has given me. I want to give the kids back home the opportunity to be the best people they can be. If I can be an inspiration to the kids back home and help the community to give the facilities I never had I would be over the moon.”
When Fred’s not boxing, he is Chilling with the family or fishing. “Mate, I really just love hanging with my partner Michelle and our beautiful little girl Isabella and going for the odd fish. Besides that mates it’s all hard work boxing and getting as fit as I can so I can win a world title. “
